This weekend we had the crew of Jason, Kevin, Pam, Shelley, Kris, Cindy, Brenda, Steve, and Kay come in to help us with the bottling of Vodka batch 22. This was one quick crew! They completed the bottling in record time in spite of some economy bottle fills (1/2 full) by an un-named filler!

Thanks to another great group. It was a little hectic as we also had Alexander in from Christian Carl to help us with our first full mash.

Alexander shown here with Patrick Donovan, our future production manager. Other than a slight issue with wheat dust, we had a great mash. Looking forward to determining new yields.

Saturday Night we also visited Bonsai Bistro and the Torch Lounge in CDA, Idaho. The Torch has a series of drink specials for our brand. Thanks to John and his crew for their support!

This week we have the Washington Wheat Convention and a meet the distiller on Thursday at the Peacock Room in the Davenport, A Rotary lunch, and Spokane’s Cork and Keg event.

Team Coleen (Teach) invaded Dry Fly for Vodka Bottling number 21. The team included Tim, John, Emily, Brian, Lenny, Steve, Eve, Taffy, Kirk, and Gerry. A world record was once again established, but later voted down by the governing board due to excessive “box down” episodes.

We have finally installed our new Wash House and 2 additional fermenters. We should have all of this functional in a couple of weeks. Once the expansion is complete, our capacity will go up to close to 10,000 cases annually.

The awesome crew of Emerson, Divid, Taffie, Paula, and Jeff joined us for Gin batch 20 bottling. Emerson and David flew over from Tacoma to bottle. Now that’s dedication to the distilling community.

We finished the batch in record time thanks to the great teamwork! Nice job by all!

What a great party. Our partner in crime northern Lights Brewing had their single largest day ever! In addition we rised well over $1000 for the local Ronald McDonald House.

Thanks to all of our friends and customers who stopped by to share the accomplishment with us. We’ll continue to work hard on producing the best farm to bottle products we can.

 Starting In January 2009, Dry Fly Distilling will begin offering Hand Crafted, grain to bottle, distilling classes. Two options exist, a two day or a six day course.  Details are included in the above file.

This Saturday Andy returned with veteran bottlers Rachel and Suzanne. For fun, they added rookies Justin, Brian, James, Christa, Brent, and Jon. The distillery was quickly at full production and the crew completed their bottling in record time.

Once their job was complete, pizza was ordered and the shenanigans began. This reporter saw non OSHA forklift operations, members of the team licking vodka off the floor . . . and each other, stupid drill press tricks, and other activities that are illegal in most states and other countries. All in all a typical Dry Fly bottling!

Always great to see our bottle displayed in a Fly SHop. This shop, Sweede’s here in Spokane, is also famous for recreating the Dry Fly fly - as seen in the martini glass! Gota love the strike indicator “olive.” Thanks Al for all of your support!

We were lucky to have Team Janet come in on Saturday to help us bottle Gin batch 19. Janet, Sarah, Leann, Jody, Shelley, and Lindsey helped us bottle the 67 cases of Dry Fly Gin in world record time. The entire process took less than 2 hours! WOW!

Rumors about jello shots and random dancing in the distillery are both greatly exaggerated.
